TWO QUICK STORIES

STORY #1:
Saturday my family celebrated my dad's 63rd birthday.  We had a great time.  As we were leaving, my 9-year-old told his poppi "Happy Birthday" one last time.  As he climbed in the car he looked at me with all seriousness and said, "They grow up so fast, don't they?"  It was the first time I laughed out loud all day.

STORY #2:
Sunday afternoon following my oldest son's soccer game we ate an early dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings (one of our favorites).  My oldest had recently downloaded an app called "LOL."  He was recounting a flurry of blond jokes, when all of a sudden he looked at me with all seriousness and asked, "He dad, did you know that Helen Keller had a dog?"  I said, "No I didn't know that."  He smiled and said, "Neither did she!"  (Wrong, I know, but funny, right?)  Once again I laughed out loud for the first time all day.

What is my point.  Simple; my kids are funny, and I should laugh out loud a lot more!

This week is Spring Break, and I have decided to take some down time to enjoy my kids.  Sometimes I just need to laugh more.
